Installation Guides for Mods
1. Start by downloading the mods (links provided above).
2. After that extract all of the zips (if the file is not organized into a single folder with this template "@modname" do it yourself and you choose the name).
3. Now go to your game's directory (ArmA2OA). For normal steam users in C drive navigate to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead3. For people who have the game Cracked navigate to wherever your game directory is (must have the ArmA2OA.exe in it).
4. Now put all your mods there.
For cracked users the directory must have these:
For mods that have a userconfig folder inside them when you unzip them.
First, easily check your Arma 2 OA root folder if you have a folder called userconfig from other mods like ACE.
If yes: What you are gonna do is go to your specific mod that has the userconfig folder in it, copy the file (.hpp or whatever) or if it has a folder, copy it and put it in your existing userconfig folder.
If you don't have it: Simply put that userconfig folder in the root.
This is simple, launch your game, in main menu go to "Expansions" there you should find all your mods. Click on them one by one and click enable on the right side, after doing so the game should ask you to restart, click "ok" and then enjoy your mods.
1. Go download Ace's userconfig file (choose 7z version recommended if you don't have WinRAR, or if you do choose the .tar one).
2. Now extract the userconfig.tar or userconfig.7z depending on which version you got. After you extract it navigate into it, it should look like this:
userconfig/ace3. Inside you will find 3 files. Open this file "ace_clientside_config.hpp" (if you have Notepad++ right click then edit with Notepad++, if you don't have it just double click then select Notepad).
4. After this look for something called "#define ACE_IDENTITY" it should be on line 70 saying this: "#define ACE_IDENTITY John Doe". What you are going to do is navigate to this path:
C:\Users\Yourwindowsuser\Documents\ArmA 25. You should find 3 folders and 3 files. Check the 2 very first files and what they say. For me it says "micro.ArmA2OAProfile" so my identity is "micro". Now after we know that, go back to "ace_clientside_config.hpp" inside the userconfig folder and edit line 70 from this:
"#define ACE_IDENTITY John Doe"To this:
"#define ACE_IDENTITY micro"Remember to replace "micro" with your actual identity.
6. After finishing and saving the file, move the entire userconfig folder to the game root path. For steam users:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation ArrowheadIt should look like this when done:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\userconfig\ace1. After you unzip the GL4 zip you should see 4 folders:
2. Open that userconfig folder, you should find 7 SQF files. Right click inside the folder and create a new folder called exactly "GL4" then put all those 7 files inside it.
3. Now remember the userconfig folder we created in the root directory for ACE? Good. Move the whole "GL4" folder into that same userconfig folder so it looks like this:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Arma 2 Operation Arrowhead\userconfig\GL4For cracked users make sure inside your userconfig folder you have two folders: "ace" and "GL4".
1. Start by unzipping the main file (The 2GB one) select "Extract here" you should see a folder called "@I44".
2. Now extract the Hot-Fix zip (The 80MB one) select "Extract To "I44-ARMA2CO-v2-666-hf2\" after extraction go to the folder you should see another folder called "@I44".
3. In that folder there is another folder called "addons" go in there select them all (Ctrl + A) then go to the main 2 GB mod there is a folder called "addons" too paste those files there it will ask you that there are files with exact names click "override".
Done! Now you applied the Hot-Fix, your Invasion 1944 mod (also known as I44) should work properly.
